Therapy and counselling practice in Hexham

About my therapy practice
I offer therapy, both online and face-to-face, from my accessible and comfortable room in Hexham, Northumberland.
Psychotherapy can help with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss. It can also give you space to explore any issues you're having at work, in relationships and with family.
It is the relationship between the client and therapist, more than anything, that determines the effectiveness of any therapy. We are all different and it is important that I can adapt according to the needs of each person I work with.

My aim is to offer a warm, non-judgmental and dependable space where you can feel seen, heard and understood.

About me
With over 30 years' experience of working in business, I came to study psychotherapy 6 years ago. The skills I developed in professional services, building relationships, understanding clients and offering insight, are the same life skills that I bring to my therapy practice.
Using a range approaches and tools, I meet you where you are now and support you as you discover what you want your life to be. I won’t be another voice telling you what to do. Instead I will support you as you find your own insight and understanding to make different decisions about your future.
In addition to my private therapy work, I currently work as a psychotherapist for the Newcastle-based charity, Eating Distress North East (EDNE), offering specialised therapy around eating distress.

I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
